We are pleased to announce the International Conference on Finance and Banking FI BA 2024.
The aim is to exchange ideas of the state of the art for new research results, perspectives on upcoming progress, and novel applications relevant for banking and finance markets.
Researchers are invited to submit empirical and theoretical papers that are broadly consistent with the special
topics of the conference, but not limited to them. Banking, Financial markets and institutions, derivatives and risk
management, investments, behavioural finance, corporate finance, insurance, operational research in finance, public finance and macroeconomic stability, monetary policy and financial stability, quantitative finance and financial mathematics.

Regular parallel sessions will be organised with the presentation of referred papers followed by a discussion
session. The discussant assignments will be made by the conference organizers which will send the paper to the
discussant. A maximum of two papers are allowed for each participant.

Candidate(s) must be registered for the FI BA 2024 conference at the time of submission of the paper. He/she (or they) cannot hold a Ph.D. at the time of submission of the paper. Papers can only be authored by one Ph.D. student.
During the FIBA 2024 Conference, we organize an INFER Special Session which is open to contributions from all
areas of economics. We welcome both empirical and theoretical papers related to the following non-exhaustive
list of topics: Banking and Finance, Bounded Rationality in Economics and Finance, Commodities and Financial
Markets, Economic Asymmetries, Energy Economics and Policy, Environmental Economics, Empirical Economics,
Experimental Economics, Financial advancements and economic integration, Financial flows and geopolitical
risks, Firms green transition, Fiscal Policy and Public Finance, Housing Economics, Monetary policy and financial
markets uncertainty, Public Policy and Economic Inequality. Sustainable Development.
The conference language is English.

Paper Submission Deadline: April 21, 2024
Notification of paper acceptance/rejection: April 30, 2024 by e-mail to the corresponding author.
Deadline for payment of fees for accepted papers: May 04, 2024
The submitted papers must not have been previously published or currently submitted for publication elsewhere.
At the conference will be accepted maximum two papers for each participant.
Only full papers may be submitted in PDF (one PDF where the author/s of the paper must be indicated and
another PDF without the author/s of the paper) by April 21, 2024. Papers for conference FI BA 2024 should be
submitted to fiba@fin.ase.ro.
For INFER Special Session, full papers may be submitted to the session organizer, Prof. Andreea Stoian, PhD
(andreea.stoian@fin.ase.ro ). Authors are allowed to submit only one paper for this special session.
Submissions to the conference FI BA 2024 are limited to two papers per participant.
All submitted papers will be peer reviewed according to a fast and high-quality referee process. Authors will be
notified whether their paper is accepted for presentation no later than April 30, 2024.
Papers accepted for the conference will be discussed, and we expect participants to act as a discussant for the
paper assigned.
The authors are invited to register for the joint conference after receiving the acceptance of the paper. The
deadline for fee payment is May 04, 2024.
The conference fee is EUR 100 (or equivalent in lei at NBR exchange rate) for each paper and covers conferencevregistration and materials, access to all conference sessions, snacks & coffee breaks, lunch.
A discount conference fee of EUR 50 is available for PhD students, and it is applicable only if all the authors are
PhD students. For the Gala dinner, there is a conference fee of EUR 30. Gala dinner is taking place in a well-known Bucharest restaurant on May 31, 2024. The social program for conference participants is organized on June 01, 2024, and participants have to pay EUR 70.
