XI AERNA Conference and XIV Meeting on International Economics

Event Description

 

The Spanish-Portuguese Association of Natural and Environmental Resources Economics (AERNA: www.aerna.org) is pleased to announce its XII AERNA Conference, which will take place at the Universitat Jaume I in Castellón, Spain, on September 3–4, 2026. It will be a joint event with the XIV Meeting of International Economics (IEI: www.iei.uji.es). This is also an INFER supported event.

The call for papers is now open for submissions on all topics related to Environmental and Natural Resource Economics. The deadline for paper submissions is March 31rst, 2026. Theoretical and empirical papers, in a reasonably advanced stage, are welcome and can be submitted here. Young researchers and PhD students are especially encouraged to submit. AERNA will offer a limited number of travel grants for doctoral students.

All submissions will undergo a standard peer-review process. Authors will be notified of acceptance decisions by April 30, 2026.

Environmental economics, natural resource economics, sustainability, climate change, energy transitions, circular economy, water-energy-food nexus, public policy, and research on efficient resource management, covering areas like electricity markets or decarbonization.

Important Dates:

  • January 23, 2026 – Opening of the call for papers
  • March 31, 2026 – Deadline for paper submissions
  • April 30, 2026 – Notification of acceptance
  • May 31, 2026 – Deadline for early registration
  • September 3–4, 2026 – Conference dates
