Round table on Finance and Climate Change
The round table on Finance and Climate Change we will organize during the EWGFC&FIBA conference this year on May 26, it is scheduled at 2pm (Bucharest time) and it’ll take 1h30.
The scientific interest and concerns in the field of sustainable development have made significant progress in recent years. We are witnessing a growing body of research which brings empirical evidence of how this paradigm has been recognized, accepted and internalized by the economic agents. However, despite this progress, many studies have shown that there are still gaps in the conceptual substantiation and question whether this concept has been understood correctly. The financial market plays an important role in the transition from the paradigm of economic growth to the new paradigm of sustainable development because it allocates financial resources efficiently to the most productive investments. But, from the perspective of finance discipline, the approaches seem unsatisfactory. Therefore, we bring together scholars who will try to address some of the still unanswered questions.
